A transition from fossil fueled to electric mobility reduces CO2 emissions and air pollution. Inhabitants need to be stimulated to acquire electric vehicle, both through communicative and financial campaigns. However, electric cars demand more electricity and require new electrical infrastructure. In order to make the transition a success it needs to be combined with the transition to renewable energy sources.
